Our 5 Favorite
Spring Wedding Flowers

What's in season for your Blue Ridge Mountain Wedding

Spring in Western North Carolina is a perfect time to embrace the freshness of in-season blooms for your wedding. And choosing local  blooms is one of the smartest decisions you can make. Why? Because flowers that are local and in season are fresher, more vibrant, and more affordable. By skipping the middleman and sourcing from local growers (like us!), you’re getting flowers harvested at their peak—not shipped across the globe. This means better quality, lower costs, and naturally stunning florals for your big day.

When you book our a la carte wedding flower service, you’ll receive lush arrangements created from the best of what’s blooming on our farm. Here are a few springtime favorites you might see in your bouquets, centerpieces, or boutonnieres.

Ranunculus

Ranunculus, especially in golden hues, is one of my favorites for weddings. They’re tricky to grow, but locally grown ones are far superior to imported varieties, which often lack vibrancy. With their delicate layers and sturdy stems — they are oh-so romantic. Ranunculus is always a top choice and is a great substitute for roses.

Love-in-a-mist

Also known as Nigella, Love-in-a-Mist is one of our favorite flowers for weddings. Its delicate, star-shaped blooms and feathery greenery add a whimsical, romantic touch to any arrangement. Available in soft blues, whites, and purples, Nigella brings a dreamy, natural vibe to bouquets and centerpieces. Plus, after the blooms fade, its unique seed pods can be used for ornamental appeal, adding texture and interest to your floral designs. For couples seeking something unique and unexpected, Nigella is always a standout choice.
